Belachelijk dit. In principe gaat alles volgens plan en doen al mijn spelers precies wat ze moeten doen, schopt een of andere Muller het hele treintje in de war.
En dan allemaal het hele jaar commentaar leveren op Haggie met zijn Tsonga. Nou Tsonga was voor de AO al een stuk verder dan Muller voor de US Open.

Deze keuze was iig een stuk logischer, 10 puntjes voor dat geld was al prima. Dat hij er dan minimaal 43 extra pakt is natuurlijk een leuke bonus. :razz:

Tja, Muller was natuurlijk wel een must-pick, Andre. De vergelijking met Tsonga gaat natuurlijk nooit op, dat weet jij ook en dat hoef ik niet uit te leggen.
En je weet dat dit het risico is als je vrijwel geen enkel kleintje neemt en voornamelijk voor de grote jongens gaat...

Vond het niveau van de partij aan het eind van de 2e set (de rest heb ik niet gezien) ook wel erg hoog.

Het was vooral bij Andreev heel goed, de hele set lang. 18 winners en 3 UEs is wel echt ongelofelijk. En dan nog de set verliezen, dat zegt wel iets over het verschil tussen top en subtop, op de big points moet je er staan...
Nou, dat mp zie ik morgen wel dan :|

fedex in vijf, met erg veel fouten. Roddick weer super overtuigend, geeft zeven games weg! Zou hij dan echt kans maken op de titel?
Belangrijk dat murray vandaag een einde maakt aan de zege reeks van del potro. Het wordt zowaar nog een mooi toernooi met murray muller als finale

Die kans hebben jullie gisteren aan je voorbij laten gaan.
Als Muller er uit was geweest, had Del Potro wel mogen winnen. Nu gaat Murray winnen om te zorgen dat jullie niet te dichtbij komen.
Ben wel benieuwd naar Roddick-Federer. Normaal heeft Roddick nooit een kans tegen Federer, maar ben benieuwd of hij die Federer-angst van zich kan afzetten nu hij in topvorm is.

Jammer dat Gonzalez geen schijn van kans had tegen Roddick. Het was voor mij lange tijd een keuze tussen Gonzalez en Del Potro, en gaf Gonzo meer kans op 50 punten.
Maar als Nadal en Murray vandaag winnen ben ik zeer tevreden! :

Ik denk dat Roddick er overheen blaast. Laat Fish aub zijn goede vorm doortrekken. Anders moet Murray Nadal maar pakken, zo niet dan is het gebeurd. :wink:

NOVAK DJOKOVIC: Well, very exhausted, but I've tried ââ¬âââ¬â sorry you have been waiting for me over an hour. I've really been trying to pay attention on recovery priorities. So right now I feel better. Hopefully I'm going to be ready for next match.
Q. How's your hip?
NOVAK DJOKOVIC: Well, the hip was the problem, yeah, during the match, but it was more exhaustion.
The physio helped me a lot, and it was a hot day. So mostly, you know, I don't think I would feel that bad today if I didn't finish that late two nights ago.
So it was quite difficult schedule for me, but ââ¬âââ¬â so you can recover two times playing four hours is not easy, so I had to really put an effort in.
Q. After the match, your mother sort of hit her heart and you did that, then you hit everything else.
NOVAK DJOKOVIC: Well, it's just probably mixed emotions after the match, just trying to show them, you know, how much effort I put into this match.
Q. Did you feel residual results? I mean, coming off of that lateââ¬ânight match coming in today, did you, starting out even in the first set, did you feel like you had less in the tank than you would ordinarily like?
NOVAK DJOKOVIC: Yes, I did. There is no doubt about that. I didn't feel well. The moment I stepped on the court, I felt, already, as you said, less energy in the tank. So I really tried to forget about that, to eliminate those things, but I just had to, you know. I had to take a medical timeout a couple of times, go to the bathroom, because just many things involved. You know, I want to do everything to win.
Q. How's your ankle? Your right ankle?
NOVAK DJOKOVIC: Yeah, well, if we start talking about things that are bothering me, as I said on the court, we'll chat for a long time. It's better I skip all these things and leave it behind. Hopefully I can be better.
Q. Given all this, do you wonder how you won that match?
NOVAK DJOKOVIC: Ah, well, again, trying to be positive. After that fourth set, I really doubted, you know, especially on that start of the fifth set, because I didn't know if I was able to continue on going on the high level, and he was just getting into the game more and more. Physically he was fitter than me, I had a feeling. And winning that fourth set, he gained confidence. So he was really going for the shots.
But somehow I managed. I managed to really stay focused and play the right shots at the right time.
Q. Was there any moment where you thought of pulling out? You really looked spent.
NOVAK DJOKOVIC: Well, there was, of course, but I didn't want. I said to myself, if I play for threeââ¬âandââ¬âaââ¬âhalf hours, you know, four sets, I'll hold on for another sets. We'll see how it goes.

Nu stukken van Federer van gisteren. Tering, wat was hij gefrustreerd zeg, zelden zo gezien bij hem...
Maar hij sleept hem er wel uit en het is volgens mij heel lang geleden dat hij zo'n close pot weer eens een keer wint, dus dit lijkt me heel goed voor zijn zelfvertrouwen...

Het moet voor hem ook frustrerend zijn dat hij z'n oude niveau niet haalt de laatste tijd en dat jan en alleman denkt een kans tegen hem te hebben, wat vaak ook nog zo is. Z'n blijdschap na het laatste punt was dan ook ongekend. Wel mooi om te zien!
