centre court Wrote:Fourth seed Calleri 'bageled' Austrian Stefan Koubek in the first set and won the first 10 games of the match only to see the left-hander dig in and grind out a 0-6, 7-6(3), 7-5 win after saving four match points. Koubek won just six points on serve in the first set as he failed to hold serve.
Koubek was also broken twice in the second set but rallied from 1-5 to force a tie-break, which he won, before going on to win a tight third set. Koubek has not won consecutive matches since reaching the Memphis quarterfinals in February.
Calleri had his first 2 match points at 6-0, 5-4 serving. After a rain break at one set all Calleri came out strong and took a 5-2 lead in the third set. Koubek then won five straight games and the match. Calleri had two further match points at 5-3 in the third set.
