Enne, tuurlijk is een stand op basis van de capaciteit niet alles maar het geeft wel een indicatie van de ambities en positie van de club in het nederlandse voetbal. Immers, hoe succesvoller de club, hoe meer 'fans' zullen toestromen, hoe groter het stadion etc etc.
Dus heel zwart wit gesproken is de club met de grootste capaciteit qua stadion vaak ook de beste club. Je zou het ook kunnen leggen naast de begrotingen van de teams. Dat zal redelijk hand in hand gaan met capaciteit en prestaties. Een club als Ajax heeft een dermate grote geschiedenis en aanhang dat het zich niet kan veroorloven om 10e te worden. Et cetera.
Tuurlijk is het kort door de bocht, maar het geeft een indicatie.
